As the founder and the CEO, I run the company by managing overall operations including, accounting, sales, marketing and billing. I work with other shareholders for prospective projects that will better the company in the future. Prior to Nihalife Insurance and Financial Solutions, I had a very successful trucking company called JJ Barn Transport Inc. I started pursuing my career in the insurance industry while only being part time in 2014.
After being a part of the insurance industry for some years, I developed a passion for helping families with insurance planning since I had learned so much and wanted to share it with as many people as I could. From there, I worked from 2014-2019 for this big insurance agency as an agent for life and health.
Seeing how many individuals and their families lack financial education, while having no plans for their retirement or income replacements, I wanted to educate and help as many families as I could. This inspires me because it allows me to share financial advice to help with their futures as well as their loved ones. Knowing I have the ability to help and educate families regarding life insurance, retirement planning, college funds, and whatever else it may be, drives me to become a better agent and better person overall.
The difference between NihaLife Insurance and other similar agencies is that here at NihaLife, we only have one mission and that is to simply help people. Regardless of their financial status, we believe that everyone deserves to be financially educated equally whether they are a part of the middle class, or below. Financial literacy is the one thing that everyone should take part in since it will plan for their secure futures and at NihaLife that is what we are here for. Unlike other insurance agencies, we are completely transparent with our clients and we always put our clients and their needs first before money or commissions.
In 2019, I founded NihaLife alongside my co-founder and CEO, Amandeep Singh. I serve as the Chief Operating Officer. The driving force behind why I do what I do is simple: I want to help people build a better financial future so the world we leave behind for the generation is sustainable and equitable. Prior to starting NihaLife, I used to work as an RR and IAR with the World Financial group for 8 years. Before entering the financial industry, I was involved in trucking and also worked as an electrician for the California Department of Transportation.
I have always been interested in economics and reading about finance. Even when I was involved in everything from an electrician to a trucker, I used to read about economics. This led to an increase in my interest in how Americans interact with their finances and sparked my passion for helping people build better financial futures. Later, I had a friend who introduced me to an opportunity with the World Financial group that opened me up to this world where I could pursue this budding passion of helping people in their finances and also make a wonderful living at the same time. I find it most rewarding to see people feel empowered and confident when they make decisions about their own financial future. There is nothing better than knowing you were able to help someone learn something that will ensure a better life for them and their loved ones.
In my own financial journey I learned two core lessons that I apply to every problem I solve. One, education is the core foundation to a solid financial future. Secondly, it is never too late to gain the necessary knowledge to build a better financial tomorrow — and doing so is an incredible source of power over your own life. I use these two lessons with all of my clients, assuring they are learning the context around the financial decisions they make with me across any stage in their life.
From a methodology and approach perspective, I have a strong focus on education. Beyond that, I have years of experience working within the South Asian community - a very underserved financial market when it comes to financial planning - which has provided me the ability to format complex financial topics into understandable and culturally relevant pieces of information for other South Asians.
As the P&C Specialist at NihaLife, I find it most rewarding to know that my clients are fully satisfied by my work and that my services are benefiting them the most. I enjoy being able to help them build a secure future.
With a very humble background, my family barely had money to afford my education. But eventually, I received my education in India and came to the U.S. A friend of mine introduced me to the financial services industry and I felt very related to and wanted to help similar people maintain their finances. As a human being, I have a responsibility toward the community and humanity to provide something similar to what I have received and achieved. I am most passionate about providing a secure future and better financial solution to my clients.
As a detail oriented individual, I explain the details of my client’s finances with full transparency and make sure they understand the importance of managing their finances. Education is at the heart of what we do here and in how we best serve our clients.
I am an optimistic and enthusiastic sales professional with over eight years of experience as an account manager in the technology arena. I am skilled at developing the right action plan for each of her client's unique needs and committed to helping them choose the best products. Throughout my career, I have earned the trust of several national and international companies and maintained strong client relationships that generate repeat business. I attribute my success to my ability to listen to customers and put their needs first. I have been awarded chairman’s club and top earner of year several times in my career. In my eight years of sales, I have closed over hundreds of millions of businesses.
My passion outside of IT is also financial knowledge; a simple quote “it’s not what you make instead what you save” earlier in age was my only financial knowledge taught; which I realized as an adult isn’t good enough. I knew I had to take the matter into my own hands as any of my college classes weren’t covering or unfolding how finances work in a simple format which can be applied on a daily basis. Roughly five years ago I came across the insurance world where I started learning about “how money really works.” Yes, I stated that correctly, insurance has taught me about finances, market behavior, savings etc.
I joined Nihalife as the CSO to help with their and customer’s IT needs but more importantly what NihaLife stands for, helping families bridge the gap of financial knowledge. I have a vision, when my day comes and life’s clock stops ticking I will know that I made a difference in this world and NihaLife is my vessel for achieving that vision.
I began learning about the financial services industry in 2013 after one of my closest friends approached me. It was during this time that I realized I had the opportunity to learn about finances along with teaching others who were facing similar questions and challenges.
I’m most passionate about teaching people about health insurance and Medicare. Clients have come to me having handled their health insurance themselves and due to lack of education regarding specific plans, they were paying $590 per month when I was able to recommend a plan that allowed them to save $400 each month. Another client I worked with was an elderly couple who were misguided and told they were unable to apply for Medicare because they were only green card holders. Because of their lack of education and proper guidance, they were paying $1,100 each month for a year until we were able to get them Medicare Part A and B.
The examples above highlight my ability to prioritize my client’s needs and answer their questions to the best of my ability, and in a timely manner. I believe my clients come to me because of the value in my services and the flexibility I give them. I enjoy providing them with an array of options based on their needs and affordability. Furthermore, being detail-oriented motivates me to read fine prints, organize emails, and systematically send information to clients to bring the highest form of satisfaction.
The most important life lessons that I have learned in the financial industry include investing and securing financial security for myself and my family. My inspiration came from my situation during the time. Prior to being introduced to the insurance industry, I was a truck driver and experienced an accident that left me disabled. Once I got into the insurance industry, I was able to slowly build my clientele and am now serving over 1,000 clients!

I have worked on various technology-driven transformation projects for over 15 years to improve employee efficiency in organizations within industries such as Health Care, Tele Communications and Energy / Utilities.
As a Chief Technology Officer of NihaLife Insurance and Financial Solutions, I work with NihaLife’s team and clients to ensure we have cutting-edge technology to make getting insurance a seamless process on both ends.
My passion combines creating efficiencies and improving communications. I firmly believe that the winning formula for Creating Customer Experiences = [Omnichannel Customer Communications] + [Employee Experiences]. If your employees are happy, coordinated, and empowered with the right information at the right time, your customers will be happy as well.
